1.Our mission?
Our mission is to provide you with professional top quality friendly service. We want to make you happy and we want to provide you with beautiful pictures that will allow you to relive your wedding day. We want to do all this at affordable prices with no hidden charges. We break down our packages with no hidden costs, and if for any reason you are confused about anything we have stated, please don’t hesitate to give us a call. We will be more than happy to answer any of your questions.

2. Why do you photograph with digital instead of film?
Cameras have come along way from 35mm film, and we feel we can offer you the most out of your pictures by shooting in a digital format since it gives us more options. For example, what do you do if that unwelcome blemish appears on the day of your wedding? No worries we can touch up what’s needed so no one will ever know, something we could not have done as easily with film.

3. What type of equipment do you use to photograph weddings? What happens if your camera breaks in the middle of my event?
We use top of the line regularly serviced professional Nikon equipment. We have never had a problem with our equipment, but in the event that we do, we come prepared with back ups to all our equipment. In the event that we have an accident or mal-function your event won’t be affected.

4. Why do you like to meet your potential clients in person?
The key to finding a photographer is to make sure you connect with them. We want you to meet us, and talk to us about your day. We want to hear about your plans, and what’s important to you, that way when your special day comes we will capture all the little things that make you and your fiance unique.

5. Why do you visit the places you will photograph before the wedding?
Regardless of the package you choose with us, we visit the facility where your event will take place before the wedding. Why do we do that? We like to be prepared. We like to go and take a look around, talk to the people running the facility or church so they can make us aware of their policies. We also get a feel for the location and get ideas well in advance of how we will photograph your wedding. It’s not your job to tell us what room the groom is in, and what door you will be coming out of when the ceremony starts. Your day is special and all those little things are not something we want you to be worried about.

6. Do you let other people take pictures during the event?
We don’t mind grandma or dad getting that snap shot, but we do ask the bride and groom to set aside time either before or after the ceremony for us to take formal portraits. During formal portrait photo shoots, we ask that we are the only people taking pictures, because there is nothing worse than having the perfect picture, and then having mom looking at someone elses camera. By doing this we also ensure that the photo shoot goes as smooth and fast as possible, so the bride and groom can head to the reception in a timely manner.

7. How long should I set aside for the formal photo shoot?
That really depends on how big of a family, and bridal party you have. We have an average of 1 ½ hours set aside for formal portraits, but this really depends on how many people you want us to photograph. Formal photo shoots can be done before or after the ceremony. We will provide you with a portrait shoot plan so you get an idea of the types of pictures that will be taken and you can provide us with any other special requests you may have.

8. My friend got her formal photos taken at a beautiful park, can I do that?
We welcome parks and lakes, and any special beautiful outside place you can think of. As long as the weather permits it, and the place is close by we will do that for you. If you just want to do it for the bride that’s fine too, we can accommodate special requests. After all we want to make this day special for you.

9. When will pictures be posted on the internet? And how do I let my family members know?
We will post all your images on your own password protected site within 2 weeks of your wedding. We will provide information about your online gallery during either your ceremony or reception. We usually do this by placing cards at the guest signing table with the URL address, and date that the pictures will be posted online.

10. How come you only specify hours of coverage during the reception?
We know that things don’t always go as planned, and someone will always run a bit late, so we don’t want you to worry about your coverage before, during and after the ceremony based on a specific time table. Our packages include unlimited coverage from the time the bride and groom are getting ready, to formal portraits before or after the ceremony. We have made an effort to cover the most important parts of your wedding day even in our most basic package. After the ceremony your reception coverage time will be based on the package you selected or based on any other agreement that we make together.

11. What do I need to do to reserve my day with you?
As soon as you know contact us so we can put down your name for that day. To reserve your day we need to have a signed contract, and a holding fee which consists of half of the package that you have chosen to go with.

12. What type of payments to you accept?
For our online print ordering we accept credit cards. For our wedding packages we accept checks, and cash.

13. How long do I have my online gallery for?
We don’t rush you; we know that sometimes it takes a while to make a decision on what picture to hang above the fireplace, so we keep your gallery active for a minimum of one year. That way when Christmas or that special birthday comes around, you can have something personal to give to that special someone.

14.Why would I want my negatives, and how will they be delivered to me?
You want your negatives mainly for safekeeping, but also because you don't know wheter your photographer will be around, or even in bussiness years after your wedding, and having your negatives will give you the peace of mind of knowing that they are safely in your possession. With your negatives you will be able to get reprints when and wherever you want. We will deliver your negatives to you on a DVD, once your online Gallery expires. (Not applicable with our Bronze Package)

15.Do I have any limitations on how I use my negatives, or where I get my pictures printed?
With your negatives you will be able to make prints of your pictures anywhere you want, at any lab of your choice. You can post your pitures on your website, cell phone, blog, email etc.....As long as it's for personal use you can do what you wish with them. However, any commercial usage of your negatives must be approved by us.
16. Why would I want to get reprints with you, if I have my negative, and I can just go to my local lab?
Most of our clients comeback to us to order their reprints and enlargements because they know the quality will be excellent. We have calibrated our monitor to match up with our lab, so when color correct, or make any necessary adjustments to your pictures to ensure professional quality, we know our smugmug lab won't produce anything less than what we have provided them with. Your local lab is not equipt to have someone go through each one of your pictures to ensure the best quality possible, they do things in bulk and have their systems set at one general level of correction, so your pictures may not end up looking as you wanted or expected thme to look, but the choice is ultimatley your to make.

We hope we have answered some of your questions. If you still have more, please contact us via phone or email, and we will get right back to you.
Thank you,
Sincerely,
Silvana and Chris
