SmugMug > all-time keyword > lesson > Lesson 5.3: Tech. 9=Drips and splatters. I used a watercolor filled pen brush and then splattered yellow paint. Tech. 10=Pale paint wash. I used a pink Crayola marker on wet paper. Tech. 11=Saturated color using water-soluble oil pastels. I do not own any of these so I used the Crayola markers again on wet paper. Tech. 12= Use tissue paper for texture. I painted the card first with metalic copper paint and then glued down a used piece of dryer sheet. After this was dry I used a bit of black ink and gold colored antiquing chalk. (The dryer sheet would smell nice if you used a perfumed kind, but we do not because of my adversion to the laundry soap and dryer sheet smells. No perfume on our clothing.)
SmugMug > all-time keyword > lesson > Lesson 5.2: Tech. 5= Dry brush brown and silver paint. Tech.6=Use Stencils: I used Crayola markers on the background and then stenciled circles of white paint. Stamped with my French script background stamp and then stenciled black swirls. Tech. 7=Rubbings and embossments. I used my son's metal journal cover for the rubbing after painting the card black metalic. After the paint dried I used silver rub-n-buff and embossed the image more. Tech. 8=Intergrate rubber stamps. I used a brown Crayola marker on the background and then a bunch of different stamps with both markers and ink. The final swirl stamp was embossed with gold.
