For consistency, I made them all monochrome.

My primary goal with multispectral portraiture is to illustrate the subjectivity of human vision. In the grand scheme of things, our visual perception is quite limited. Viewed with the eyes of other organisms, we might appear quite alien - even to ourselves!

-Equipment Used-

Thermal Infrared: Scott Eagle thermal imager (modified for adjustable focus)
Near-Infrared: my self-modified UV-VIS-IR Nikon D200 + a 1000nm IR filter
Visible: Nikon D700
Ultraviolet: my self-modified UV-VIS-IR Nikon D200 + a Baader U 2" filter
X-Ray: a hospital X-Ray machine; I got special connections for this, for which I'm grateful (I even got to press the expose button!)

Seen only in ultraviolet, the dark spot in the middle of a dandelion guides insects to the nectar and pollen.
